  1. This picture shows, when you suck air out of a marshmallow it starts to expand. We enlarged the marshmallow by putting it in a air tight container and using a syringe to suck the air out.

  2. We were experimenting on marshmallow pressure. Seeing if it would expand or shrink. We had a syringe and a bell glass thingy. Then we would take the air out and they got big!

  3. This picture shows how a marshmallow got big. First you take a bell and a marshmallow on the bottom of the of the bells lid. Next you take a syringe and pump it in and out and the marshmallow will get bigger, and when you let the air out the marshmallow will get smaller.

  4. What we did for this experiment is since our body pushes out 14.7 pounds and at sea level it pushes 14.7 pounds at us. So we are doing an experiment on what would happen if we didn’t have the 14.7 pounds pushing out of us on every square inch of our body. So you put a medium sized marshmallow in a bell dome and there is a syringe that is connected to a tube and the tube goes into the bell dome. One person holds 2 fingers down to secure the dome. One other person pushes and pulls the syringe 6 times. And just like that you have a HUGE marshmallow

  5. The picture shows that the air that is being pumped into the jar is making the marshmallow bigger and that when you let the air out of the jar the marshmallow gets smaller.

  6. We put a marshmallow on a certain lid and put the certain cup on the lid. We would pull the precure tube and it would make the marshmallow huge. When we let the precure out it would get small and wrinkly

  7. We used a syringe to pump air into the marshmallow so it got so big it could pop.

  8. For the marshmallow all the groups had a marshmallow, a glass “bell” with a bottom, and a big pump. When someone pulled the part that you pump the bigger it got. When someone twisted the tube on the top which let the air out it got smaller.

  10. In the marshmallow picture we were giving the marshmallow more air. Also the marshmallow got bigger when we were giving it more air but if we put the pull thing back in the marshmallow gets lower.
