We are starting book clubs next week. To get more familiar with our book club author we are researching the author.

Fred Gipson was born in 1906. He wrote Old Yeller in 1956 and became famous the next year. He wrote for the Daily Texan and The Ranger. He dropped out of high school to become a newspaper journalist. His book Old Yeller won the Newbery Honor Book medal. He died in 1973. I think there will be a bad vegitabe and Old Yeller will eat it and become vicious.
ReplyDeleteChristopher Paul Curtis was born in Flint,Michigan on May 10th,1953. He is a product of the flint public schools systum. He wrote Bud,not buddy, The watsons go to birmingham and Elijha of Buxton all in 1963. My prediction is that there will be a dog in the story. The kid in the story will be in school.
ReplyDeleteBud, Not Buddy was wrote by Christopher Paul Curtis. The books he had writen are Bud, Not Buddy, Mr. Chickee's Messy Mission. He has one two awards, the Newbery award, and the Coretta Scott King medal. He was born in Flint Michigan. His first book he wrote was the Watsons Go To Birmingham. His first book he wrote was made in 1963.

The Driving Roster, Recollection creek, cowhand, The Home place, Hound Dog Man, Fabulouse Empire. He might fight a mad dog and get really weak and Old Yellers owner will scare off the mad dog.

"Hound Dog Man" has been the book of the month one time. Old Yeller was considered his best book. He has written The Trail-Driving Rooster and Savage Sam. I think Old Yeller will become a retrieving dog
