State Assessment Celebration

The students did a fantastic job on their state assessments! Your child should have brought home a sheet with their overall score and a breakdown of what score they got for every standard. Let me know if that didn't make it home. I am so very proud of ALL of the students to celebrate being done I brought the Wii to school .

We Really Did It!!

The students have been working hard on their practice state assessments. Their hard work is paying off and tomorrow we are going to celebrate their accomplishments. To get their reward they had to fill in all the letters on the poster. They could fill in a letter with five 100% tests or 3 letters if everyone in the class got 70 or above on the test.

Prefix/Suffix

Has your child been telling you about ripping up paper in class? As the learn a prefix or suffix they put up a note card with a word with the prefix or suffix and the meaning. After the students promise they know the meaning of the prefix or suffix they get to rip up the note cards.

Yankee Girl

We just started reading, Yankee Girl, by Mary Ann Rodman. This book takes place in 1964. To help us understand things going on during that time research the topics we talked about as a class and post some of your findings.
