  1. A secret terrorist organization, the Ku Klux Klan led underground resistance against the civil rights and political power of newly freed slaves during the Reconstruction period after the American Civil War. The Klan's goal was to reestablish the dominance of the prewar plantation aristocracy. It was revived in an altered form in the 20th century.

Segregation in 1964 was (for example) if 200 people would go to Mississippi to help African Americans vote at least three of them would get killed.
Even though African Americans could go too a white school only 2% of them would in the Southern States.

  9. The Ku Klux Klan a.k.a. {KKK} is a hate group. What the KKK do is burn crosses, kill Africian Americians , and they wear white sheets over their body and head. But that's not all they do. The three klans of the KKK is 1.1 First KKK, 1.2 Second KKK, and 1.3 Third KKK. The first klan was in Pulaski, Tennessee by the veterans of the confederate army. The second KKK was in 1915 and was started in Georgia. And the third KKK name was used by quite a few independant local groups apposing the Civil Rights Movement and desegregation, mostly in the 1950s and in the 1960s.
